Little Gifts

Back home for my morning coffee on the deck. 😀

When I worked in the hospital and had little kids vying for my attention on the weekends, I dreamt of having time to sit outside in the am and drink a cup of coffee before starting my day. For those who know me, it takes me a while to wake up in the am, so this gift is something I give myself when I can now.

Last week, I had the gift of drinking coffee on a hotel deck in Vail, CO. Marty had meetings for an international board he is on and I had meetings with myself. After a full summer of work, kids activities, fairs, moving 2 back to college and getting the 3 at home back to school, 3 days in CO sounded excellent. I planned to work on getting caught up on work things had been pushed aside until I got the nudge to take the computer out of my backpack and leave it at home right before we left. I figured I would use my tablet instead but that changed when it kept spinning and wouldn't pull anything up.

So on the first morning, I sat on the deck, drinking coffee in the Vail valley and contemplating what to do while Marty was in meetings. The devo I read that day was Ecclesiastes 9:8-9 (Message) -Each day is God's gift...Whatever turns up, grab it and do it. And heartily. So I took that as God's instructions to follow where he lead me for the next 3 days. And it was amazing!!! I'll share more pics later.
